The Green Tube cardboard cartridge replaces conventional plastic adhesive cartridges, which are usually incinerated. Our main focus during development: avoiding plastic waste by significantly lowering the plastic content by 80 %. The cartridge body is made of 100 % cardboard and can be recycled after use.The cap and clip nozzle are made from recycled plastic.

The production of the Green Tube cartridge uses 80 % less plastic than conventional cartridges. The cartridge casing is made from 100 % hardened cardboard. Production generates 53 % less CO₂ emissions than the manufacturing of a PE cartridge – a clear advantage for the climate and the environment.

Longer shelf life

Adhesives and sealants packaged in tube-shaped bags have a longer shelf life as the protective film effectively shields them from UV radiation and humidity. This extends the shelf life from 12 to 18 months. When not in use, the bag can easily be sealed with a cable tie, ensuring the adhesive or sealant stays fresh until its next use.

Less waste

The foil bag is pressed flat during use. Compared to conventional cartridges, this noticeably cuts down on waste volume – and in turn, packaging waste. The lid and tip with leftover material can be disposed of in general waste or, after removing the cured product residues, recycled through the plastic recycling system. The Green Tube reduces waste by 393 kg per 10,000 cartridges compared to conventional plastic ones.
